The Jambalaya Shoppe — Acadian

Had the gumbo and pastalaya. Everything was great til I found a piece of plastic wrapper in the bottom of the pastalaya bowl.

Came in at 7:07 and was told they were closed even though online they are open until 8 and the open sign was on and the door was open.

I’d go 10/5 stars to prove a point if I could. I met the owner Kathy (Cathy? at a Mardi Gras parade and she was beyond AH-MAY-ZUH-HING! I love it when business go above and beyond to show their love for the communities they serve. The food is authentic and phenomenal as she is. I’d recommend the sausage and chicken jambalaya with a side of boudin balls. I tad on the spicy side but perfect for me. My wife and I may have to make the trip back just for the parade and this shoppe next Mardi Gras.

Omggg amazing just what I was looking for this is some seriously good gumbo here. Wish I got extra buns tho…next time

My wife and I were playing pokemon go on our phones while waiting for our food, which took forever just for the employee in the back to lose her temper under the impression that we were recording her. I made a comment about how that wasn't cool for her to treat my wife that way, and when we agreed on a refund she tried to ask for the food back. She also threatened to call the cops on us when she was the one out of line in the first place. Never going back. Hope this business gets its staffing in … – show
