Food was good but I just moved to the area and where I'm from when you choose buffet to go it shouldn't be no way near the cost as dining in..The host originally wanted to charge us over 70 dollars for 4 plates to go which would have been the price to dine in but we chose to weigh our plates and still paid almost 70..barely had food on the plates...I have never In years paid so much and normally feed my whole family... What Wendy Hatcher doesn't like about King Buffet:
I am not much on the whole buffet scene, but thought I would give it a try. The food is mediocre at best. Not much to do to wait on people at a buffet. Oh! The sushi rolls were pretty good. View all feedback.
Please smell your cups before drinking out of them. My son cup smelled like cow manure. We asked the waiter to change it he hesitated until he smelt the cup. Food is slightly okay not too bad. Definitely not fresh. Will not be back!
Staff were pretty attentive about refilling drinks, but I don’t think I will be returning… I tried to be open and try several different options on the buffet, but so many of them were not flavorful, didn’t taste right and had slimy, oily textures… even simple things like crab, the noodles, and the veggies. Not sure if it’s because the food sits out long or they just cook it so much oil and expect flavor to come out of that… They didn’t even get the crab rangoons right… I’m turned off to this place now… I don’t frequent Chinese buffets often to be able to compare it to others in the area but I couldn’t finish what I got... I spent $25 on myself for the dinner buffet plus a fountain drink, and was wishing I had gone elsewhere… just so disappointed with the taste and quality of the food and amount I paid. By the time I got to dessert, I didn’t mind the pastries and SOME of fruit, but the pudding was even off in taste… I know I could’ve gotten better bang for my buck elsewhere. I don’t know if it’s just this location because I have been to other King Buffets in the state, unsure if they’re a chain or franchise… but I tried this location, and I won’t be going back… sad to say. I wanted to like it.
Dietary restrictions: We stopped in for a quick, light bite for my sister who had just had surgery, and was recovering from the anesthesia shakes. We grabbed the Wonton soup and she says it's some of the best she's ever had!
The most disgusting, dirty, nasty, unsanitary, horrible restaurant I have ever been to. Sat down only to have mold infested water from the air conditioning vent drip onto my young baby 's head and my plate. When I informed the staff, they pretended like they didn 't understand English. Right. Trash place. You have been warned.
The place is really good. The food is great and hot, refilled constantly, but a bit salty. Lots of seafood, I love mussels and crabs. They have crawfish too, I think during the season. Their soups are so authentic and tasty. A waitress even gave me a tool for eating crabs. The restaurant is clean. I do not know why it is underrated. Eating dinner on Saturday, 17.99$ per pax. Truly enjoy!
