My wife and I ate here yesterday, and the waitress was excellent. The food was very good and the price was cheaper than most. I wish I had found out about this place before now. View all feedback.
What Suzanne Devun doesn't like about El Paso Mexican Grill:
Bland beans, too much salt in rice, shredded chicken was horrible, And the service was really BAD!! Music too loud. My sister sent her order back. Atmosphere is positive and nice. The food is not worth eating View all feedback.
I ordered carry out at the bar. I asked for a substitution shortly after placing the order. She walked in the kitchen, obviously stood there for 30 seconds and then told me it was already prepared. Funny, it took 15 minutes longer before my order came out. Food is average tex-mex, salsa bland and greasy chips. The female bartender was quite rude and not pleasant at all If you want EXCELLENT Mexican try QUESO Mexican Restaurant around the corner. I had the exact opposite experience. Friendly service and FANTASTIC authentic food!
It was really good, me and my wife and kid enjoyed it very much. The server was really nice too.
They are very rude ! I asked the young lady for a drink ! The drink was very disgusting I asked her to change it to something else because it was horrible, another young lady came to my table with attitude saying that they can’t not change drinks and that it’s not their problem that the drink was nasty to me !
Very disappointed. I eat a lot of tex-mex and authenticas, but El Paso on Sherwood Forrest in Baton Rouge has by far been the worst. We ordered jalapeño poppers for an appetizer, which was the only part of the meal that was edible. The salsa tasted like wet spaghetti sauce, but the black bean salsa was decent. However, both meals were barely edible. My wife got one beef taco and the meat had a funny after taste. Not like it was spoiled, but almost like meat flavored foam, and the shell tasted like movie theater popcorn. I ordered what I thought was a steak burrito (according to the menu) but the steak looked and tasted like frozen, shredded rump roast. A steak burrito at a Mexican restaurant should be skirt, hanger, or asada steak. Not to mention, it was room temperature. We were there 2 hours before closing so there is no reason for it to have been cold. Waitress passed us about 6 times without asking foe refills or taking our card for the check. The waiter for the table next to us spent more.time flirting with the guests than actually serving them. Won 't go there again and would never recommend.
Normally I had always visited this place but it never occurred to me that ultimately I received terrible attention from the servers but the worst thing is the. Food that they served me and I come and ask the waitress if Eya ate that food and she answers that we are very busy so because they are busy the customers have to eat the food all burned when I say burned it is completely burned but it doesn't matter to them shame and they charge you for shameless insults.
