Not sure why this restaurant is so poorly rated as we were more than happy with it. It's in a great location in the castle courtyard and sitting outside there's some great views as well as providing the opportunity to people-watch. We were more than happy with our salads and pasta and perfectly pleasant glass of Barolo. Check out the adjacent Agrilab which is worth a few minutes of your time.

We booked for 8 adults and 4 children for Sunday lunch. They were very busy, but coped admirably with our various demands. The food was really excellent, the portions very large, and the prices very reasonable indeed. Despite being busy the service was first class. We ate outside on the terrasse, right at the top of Barolo next to the castle. It was a great spot, and lots of space for the children to okay whilst parents enjoyed a long slow meal. The menu was really interesting, with great choices of regional, food. Definately highly recommended!

We stayed in this place (new management from what I understood last week, we found ourselves very badly! Very rude and incompetent staff: We welcome you to a table right in front of the counter and after taking the order we begin to hear the waiters talk unfortunate (differently insulting each other! of what we had ordered and feel the owner complaining loudly to be heard by us that being 17.30 we should order more and not from the cafeteria (PRECED CHE in 6 people we spent 49€ .

Service was very courteous and friendly but the food is poor canteen food with ready-made sauces. You could try, but people visibly tumble into the restaurant, so it 's not interesting to do anything better. The prices are relatively cheap, but still far too expensive for what you get. A pity. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20

Good food with a view of the Barolo hills. Particularly long waiting time, perhaps a little lacking in organization Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
