Description

Water Margin is a long-standing favorite for Chinese takeaway among many customers, including those who have been ordering for years. The food is consistently good, with popular dishes like beef chow mein and seafood rice. The restaurant itself provides a relaxed atmosphere, with authentic Chinese drinks and a focus on food quality over fancy frills. While some customers have experienced disappointing moments, such as finding hair in a dish or limited dessert options, the overall consensus is positive. From efficient service to delicious roast duck and pork, Water Margin continues to be a go-to spot for many looking for quality Chinese cuisine.

I don't remember much of our order at water margin except salty pfeffer reserve ripening, duck in plumen sauce and kai lan. we had also ordered singapore nudels, both ei andhun fritted rice along with somehun and pour main dishes. the food was very good and the service was also excellent. highly recommended!

My long time favourite restaurant in NW London. Without going to Soho, you can enjoy authentic Chinese taste!!

I found it difficult to rate this restaurant out of five, but I may have been overly critical in this review. After being a loyal customer for 35 years, I realized I had never reviewed the Water Margin. It's easy to review restaurants in central London, but I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. I have had bad meals at expensive restaurants before. In my opinion, the Water Margin is just as good as the better Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to the Water Margin if you're in the West End, but if you're in North London, it's probably the most authentic option available.

The food was disappointing, the service was lacking in charm, and the Barnet Hygiene rating was also disappointing, just a 3 out of 5. I will not be returning.
