When I request... read more I have always been impressed with this café that serves delicious Cypriot food. I visited on an early Saturday evening and ordered from the menu. When I requested a bottle of red wine, I was informed that there was none available due to a delivery issue (reminiscent of Fawlty Towers). I offered to go to Waitrose and buy a bottle myself, but was told there would be a corkage charge. I was shocked by this response. Instead of apologizing for not having any wine, and appreciating my willingness to go get it myself, they had the audacity to demand a fee. It seems like they could benefit from a lesson in customer service. Needless to say, I will not be paying any corkage fees or returning to this establishment. Everyone should take note of this behavior.

This place looks very much like the kebab houses in Cyprus. when we were there there were no other customers seated but their takeaway business was very much going on throughout the evening. We were seated and given menus. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. We could see that the customers who came to get a takeaway were all offered drinks while they waited. We ordered some dips and halloumi with lounza. All very nice. We next ordered kebab in pita bread again large portions and very delicious. It reminded me of the souvlaki we get in Cyprus. This is very much an authentic Cypriot kebab house. I just wished I discovered it earlier. Will certainly return.

Oh did I mentio... read more We didn't eat in this time but our takeaway on sunday was off the charts. Mixed chicken and lamb with salad in giant warm and fluffy pita bread. Oh did I mention the chips? Best chip shop style chips anywhere, every single one a crispy masterpiece.
