Set on a pristine mountain lake framed by rolling hills, this family-friendly park combines rugged hiking with easy lakefront pleasures. Clearly marked trails range from gentle loops to challenging 7-mile routes, while a well-maintained beach, kayak-friendly waters, fishing spots and a playful boat slide invite full-day outings. Rustic cabins, shaded picnic areas, a playground and ample parking make visits simple and comfortable; rangers keep the grounds clean and safe. Note: there's no lifeguard and cabins offer basic amenities.
Feedback
The entire family had a great time at the park. The cabins are charming in their simplicity, providing just the essentials with comfortable beds. The rooms were conveniently located and well-maintained. The playground, picnic area, and beach were very nice. While it's not the best spot for hiking, we truly enjoyed spending time together.
Had a beutiful day of kayaking on a beautifully mountain lake. The area was very clean and I saw rangers walking around to make sure everyone was having fun in a safe manner. Great place to visit and enjoy nature!
We love this beautiful park. The beach is well maintained and patrolled. Note that there is no life guard, so it's swim at your own risk. Ample parking and lots of picnic tables scattered around under shady trees. Thoroughly enjoy our visits and have many fond memories.

We don’t use the beach, but prefer hiking the trails that go around the entire lake. A lot of rolling hills. We just did 7mi this Easter 2020 with 800ft in elevation. Beautiful hiking trails!!
