We had a fantastic three-course meal in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We brought our own wine and there was a £3 corkage fee. The wine list also offered options at £2.50 per glass. I try to book the Chef's Hat direct but the college booking system did not work so I booked via the reception. They assured me all was okay and if there was a problem they would contact. Last night we arrived to be told they had no such booking. No they could not accommodate us. The best they were prepared to offer was a free bottle of wine, and would we like to book for next week. I had lunch there today. The name has changed as has the lay out, but still a great place to eat locally at a fabulous price. Well done, everyone!
Excellent quality and prices are great! Highly recommend wish it was open more! The salmon and the chicken is the best!!!
I visited this restaurant tonight for a Valentine's Day meal. It was an amazing experience with a very warm welcome. They have many upcoming changes that will give students real experience in a functioning restaurant. The best part was being able to see all the chefs working to prepare the meals, with no hidden corners. The meal tonight was Italian, with very generous portions, all cooked and created on site.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. It is actually affiliated with a culinary school, where students have the opportunity to experiment with cooking. The food is consistently delicious and offers a wide variety of options. Best of all, it is budget-friendly. The flavors are exceptional as well.
Myself and my family regularly visit and the food is always good. The kids get some experience cooking/serving paying customers and we haven't had a bad meal yet.
