A traditional Logis trapped in a time warp in a pretty village in Provence Verte. Excellent old-fashioned service in a dining room with a view, using real tablecloths and napkins, and offering a 3 course menu at €18 even on a Saturday. Good cooking, friendly service, good value for money. View all feedback.
What Victoria Mota doesn't like about Le Pont D'Or:
Never disappointed with our many visits to the Pont d'Or over the last 18 years. The cannelonis and the vol au vent sauce financiere are our special favourites, but they have wonderful seasonal dishes like trout with almonds and crayfish too. Pieds paquets, a real provencal speciality, is also on offer. A proper cheese board too with a wide range on offer, increasingly rare these days. Proper chips as accompaniment and local wines at very reasonable mark up. Desserts, there must be twenty on the menu and my favourite is the faisselle de been is (sheep milk fromage frais). If you are passing through the area, this should be on your list. A hotel too so it's a popular gastronomic weekend destination.
As others have stated, is excellent, even if it is in a time warp. Had the menu de jour for €18.50, with local wine (is brilliant at €13) on terrace and spectacular view over the valley. Happy to recommend
Four of us visited in July and as we were early we got the last table outside on the small terrace. It was a lovely view and we were able to enjoy the evening outside. The menu was great value for money, with amazing food and very generous portions. We would happily recommend.
