Excellent Sunday lunch. I really appreciated the atmosphere of a historic home. Rich range of appetizers, delicious first courses, house wine and many delicious desserts. Staff present and attentive. Good quality/price.

Over the years I have gone to Filippo della Taberna several times both for a dinner and for various receptions. Well.........nothing has changed! Do you think it's a flaw? Absolutely not! It's the typical restaurant that you could go to every day and would never disappoint you. Of course the cuisine is still from the 80s but on the other hand both the quality and workmanship are excellent. Try pistachio agnolotti and sliced on the lamp. Private parking available free of charge. Would happily return but not often.

This restaurant is a step back in time with old traditional kitchen and farming utensils and stags head on the wall. All the waiters wear waistcoats and bow ties and there is even a maitre'd who personally served our excellent mushroom risotto to us from serving platter delivered by the waiter. Its little more expensive but worth it as the food is high quality and the servuce is impeccable. Ps no one speaks English which adds to 5he charm

We were taken here as a business group by a colleague who lives and works in Bari. Even though it was a Monday evening (most restaurants in southern Italy are closed Mondays , the restaurant was opened just for our group of 20+. Having had the restaurant to ourselves, I can't form a relevant opinion on the general service. I can only say that the staff were very professional. We were treated to a what I'm told is standard four course dinner. The antipasti were a delicious mix of roasted vegetables, panzerotti with a spicy filling, rucola and anchovy salad, a (fried? potato and ham gratin, frittata, mozzarella, sauteed olives, prosciutto, and probably a few more dishes I cannot remember. It was all amazing. Our two pasta dishes were: house made fresh pasta with truffles, and a variation on ravioli (I cannot remember the appropriate Italian term filled with ricotta and pistacio in a cream sauce. Both were impressive, especially since fresh pasta with truffle slices is a standard offering at most Italian restaurants. This time, it wasn't just good, it was really good. The next course was simple grilled beef steaks with fried potatoes, as well as calamari. Also very tasty. I skipped dessert, although it all looked great. My colleagues were very pleased.
