Nalanda Resorts - Bargarh

We stayed here recently for a night. Its a small property but clean and beautiful. Go for the cottages as they are too good and value for money. I felt their charges are nominal and facilities are simply great. Food served in their restaurant is too good. Be ready, for localites will disturb your peace at night as they come for dinner. Otherwise a calm and quiet place. Greenery is well maintained and the river view is awesome. People at resort from front desk to restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Ask the manager and he will guide you to river cruise. Great experience in every respect. Extra bed facility is great and with nominal charges. Breakfast spread is sumptuous. I booked over phone and was hastle free. Very cooperative office people.

We had visited Nileshwar and stayed in another resort. Had gone to Nalanda Resorts for lunch. The setting of the restaurant by the lake and garden is beautiful. The food we ordered was great. Only complain I have is that apart from prawns and king fish, they did not have any other sea food. But whatever they prepared was great. We tried only the local cuisine

We had meals twice at this place. We came back for the meals for the next day lunch and were not disappointed

This place is situated 2 hours from mangalore which makes it great for a weekend getaway. The river beside the resort is the USP of this place. We were 5 of us and hence booked the river view room and a villa. Both were well appointed and came with great amenities. The food was good but could have been better. However it was very reasonably priced. The garden was well maintained. Negatives was the pool opened only at 8 am though it was mentioned it opens at 7.30 am.

Stayed here for one night. Very nice resort that is adjacent to the highway. The rooms are spacious. They have a small gym and swimming pool as well. Not many activities in and around the resort.
