The basilica is located in Old Goa, former capital of Portuguese India, and holds the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier. The architecture aesthetic beauty of this place will blow your mind. Just amazing visuals. It's recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The church is divided into 2 building facing opposite to each other. You can buy few mementos here though those are a little costlier. Wear proper clothes as they don't allow you to enter if you were to short or revealing clothes. Entry for that is just 10/ per person. It is open to the public every day. Church closes by 5 pm. You need around 30 45 minutes to enjoy your trip. Definitely a must visit if you visit Goa for the first time.
