A good service ; attentive waiters ; good quality in the products, medium high price, everything we have eaten big.
We went to eat a menu on Thursday. the place is spacious and pleasant, all very clean. the service very attentive and efficient. the food was very good with a very successful price/quality.In addition to taking care of us very well were fast. a very recommended place. We will definitely come back.
We ordered the tasting menu and for 28 euros a person we had a fabulous six course meal. (Plan on not eating the rest of the day! Potatoes, eggs, and little tiny eels made us a little squeamish at first but were absolutely delicious. A very flavorful bean and sausage stew followed, then a yummy salt cod, then the best piece of pork (Iberian that we ever tasted. After all this get ready for a big dessert: we split the flan and some mandarin sorbet. We highly recommend this restaurant.
On a really hot Saturday night my twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping around the wonderful Sants neighbourhood when we chanced upon Txalaparta and what a great find. The interior is awesome in this tapa bar,a light and airy main room,a superb looking serving bar, glass fronted with the huge variety of tapa available on display and massive wine barrels built into the walls that look cool, great decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this tapa bar ,it really is a superb tapa bar. We were greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each and we opted to sample their tapa menu. The tapa here is delicious, we tried several tapa each in here, the fish options were particularly good but everything we sampled in here was delicious, it's not hard to see why this tapa bar is so popular . We stayed here for two beers each ,beers here are served iced cold and sparkling, we sampled lots of different tapa and we finished our visit with a vermouth each, this aromatic fortified wine served with a big chunk of ice, a slice of orange and a green olive is just so refreshing. We really enjoyed our visit to Txalaparta which is really easy to locate on Carrer De Sants in the Sants neighbourhood which is an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some interesting architecture. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, Midday till Midnight. Sunday, 1pm till 5pm. A great tapa bar in a fantastic neighbourhood and well worth checking out if your in the area.
