The inspiring... read more I had come many years ago and loved the place. Today we were close and decided to return. Beautiful, the place is very nice, original, authentic. The inspiring decoration takes you back to the 70s-80s! Delicious cocktails, I recommend the ginger garden and the flower of cane. The guy was very professional and kind. We definitely recommend the bar to visit if you are in the neighborhood or Barcelona.

Thales bar is set in the heart of the Gothic quarter. It is mainly frequented by locals however a lot of passing trade brings in tourists. It is atypical old world bar no frills however the bar staff are superb very helpful and friendly to one and all. The food is not nouvelle cuisine but it is well prepared selection of tapas served promptly. They have an excellent selection of beers, cocktails and sangria with generous measure's. Come on a night when the football is on and there is a good but respectful atmosphere. Good prices, great staff I would thoroughly recommend it.

Instead we had some amazing Iberico ham, cheeses and bread with great drinks. Its such a hidden gem and from first impressions I wouldn't have thought it could offer such great food, at very reasonable prices with big portions. It was a real treat stopping here and I'd recommend Thales if you are in the area.
