Somewhere Aribau - Barcelona

Pros: good food, nice decoration and clean place, friendly servers Con: drinks took a while to arrive When you first arrive, you see the thematic entrance already and it is very nicely decorated. The place is not very broad but quite deep so there are plenty of places to sit down. It has decoration from all over the world describing different dishes. The way the bar is set up is also very cute. The place is clean, well maintained and toilets are clean as well! When I entered ~13:45), there were just about 15 people inside so I got seated right away. Timing for taking the order was pretty ok, could maybe be a bit faster but I had time so no big deal. The menu descriptions are made up in a special way see pictures) and it made it confusing for me to read it. I can see that some people can like it though! The menu contains some things that are quite special to me, and are probably worth trying cold coffees for example), but I didnt get to that! Waitress and waiter were extremely nice. I ordered fish and chips and then a strawberry split for a drink. The wait for the food was about 10-15mins more or less. They forgot my drink but when I mentioned it, the waiter was very apologetic and came straight back with it I assume it was prepared but forgotten to be brought based on the speed of bringing it after mentioning it). I also ordered a coca cola later, and it took quite a while to get that one as well. Food was good, slightly spicy sauces which I didn’t expect, but I liked it! I also could get extra sauce if I wanted no idea if this was free of charge though). The strawberry split was great as well and freshly made, I would definitely order it again! I was planning on ordering a dessert as well, but I had enough with just the main dish so unfortunately, I couldn’t try them. I saw a few passing by and they looked delicious!

Probably the best breakfast I've ever had. It's beautiful and clean, the music is calm and the service is surprisingly good and caring. We ordered the bacon pancakes and salmon eggs benedict both of the dishes were perfect and big. They're making some amazing special kinds of coffee. (Try the lemon pie coffee! Best breakfast in Barcelona, don't miss it!!

The pork chops were dry and had a slightly burnt flavor. Being the chef’s recommendation we left somewhat disappointed.

I think we came on an unlucky day. I visited Somewhere Aribau a few days ago at 13.00 o clock. We went inside and were waiting for a long time to get noticed. Nobody said hello. At the same time food delivery came and boxes with ready sauces in clear plastic bags were pushed trough the restaurant. After waiting for a long time patiently we went up to one of the waitress and asked if we can just sit on a table in the front at the entrance. Still nobody came for an other 15minutes, so we went to take the menus ourselves. The waitress appeared. She was sweet, but we did not receive any apology for the long wait. Instead we have been informed that a quarter of the menu is not available. After a few minutes she came back as took our order. 10 minutes later an other waitress came back and informed me that the drink I ordered was also currently not in stock either. Food was ok. Unfortunately the rice was still super hard. A pity that such simple basics could not be fulfilled on my first visit even though I believe this place has so much more potential.

Very creative menu with different options and variety Cuisines to choose from Foods are high quality and tasty I loved their tartar and their Peruvian Aji de Callina Their Oreo cheese cake is a must try serving in flower box make it the most fun too Their beautiful orange cappuccino is a nice flavoured coffee and a piece of art : Very nice staff and great service
