To my and my girlfriend's dismay, no place is open around La Rambla as early as six a.m. Breakfast buffet at our hotel did not start until 7 a.m., but the troub... read more To my and my girlfriend's dismay, no place is open around La Rambla as early as six a.m. Breakfast buffet at our hotel did not start until 7 a.m., but the trouble was we had booked a tour that was to leave at our meeting point in front of the Palau de la Musica by Via Laietana promptly at 7 a.m. It was a tour that would take us to Andorra and a medieval town in France at the foot of the Pyrenees, so it was long drive. Anyway, we asked our hotel where to grab a quick breakfast and they could not think of any place that was open at 6 a.m. Luckily, after making sure the exact location of Explore Catalunya, the travel agency we had booked our tour to Andorra and France, we noticed that Bar Ski was actually open. We ordered a breakfast of coffee, croissant and a couple of sunny side up eggs. Service was quick. The restroom on the second floor was immaculate. As someone has already reported in a former review, the only downside to this bar is that there is no wi-fi. The other food items on its breakfast menu was also a little bit pricey, ad will set you back by 8 euros.

Meatballs were really pink inside and the tiny amount of tomato sauce tasted of nothing. Potatoes were just mini roast potatoes. Greek salad was men too.

As I had only 20 minutes, it was... read more I found this place by accident, had only some tapas with sangria as it was early for a supper (for Spaniards). Quiet liked it. As I had only 20 minutes, it was excellent that the service was so quick. Tortilla with sangria were what I needed at that time.
