Just had a fantastic meal at Delta tonight. My family of 5 has been in Spain for a week now and we’ve been trying all sorts of new foods. This was probably the top spot we’ve eaten at. We had fried anchovies, steak with chimichurri, snails, hake with garlic and bacon, the tomato salad with olives, and the lamb paella. Everything was outstanding- so much so that we are ending our trip here again with dinner tomorrow night. Whoever said their paella was without seasoning is an idiot. We’ve done a paella cooking class, ate 2 paellas at 7Portes, and had vegetable paella at another restaurant- this was by far the best one we had. So much lamb flavor, crispy edges, the lam was tender and delicious. Shout out to the chef back there slinging all this food, perfectly timed, and just so so good. If you don’t like this place, you’re probably not a foodie. See photo of my 12-year old adventurous son, drinking the Hake sauce from his plate- and my 6 year old daughter eating snails. (PS- they’re only adventurous when the food is GOOD)
Amazing paella and service, everything was great and the price was fair, thanks!
Unfortunately, after a series of wonderful dinners in Spain, this restaurant turned out to be a real disappointment. We made a reservation in advance because we wanted to enjoy a proper evening out — not just eat, but experience good service and atmosphere. Instead, the organization was chaotic from the beginning. We were first seated at the wrong table and then moved again. There wasn’t even a place to hang our coats, which already felt odd. We were placed practically in the kitchen corridor. Constant noise, staff shouting, strong food smells, and waiters continuously passing behind us, bumping into our chairs while carrying dishes. At one point, hot paella pans were carried over our heads due to the lack of space — apparently part of the “immersive dining experience.” It felt more like sitting in a busy canteen than in a restaurant where you can relax and enjoy your evening. The paella itself was underwhelming — below average and lacking flavor. For most of us, it was noticeably under-seasoned. Overall, the food was simply not worth the setting. If I only want edible food, I can order takeaway and eat comfortably at home. When I go to a restaurant, I expect hospitality, atmosphere, and professional service. Here, the message felt more like: “Sit wherever there’s space, finish your plate, and move on.” P.S. We were neither offered nor served bread. I didn’t see it on the menu either — perhaps it’s reserved for selected tables. In the end, we went across the street to Taras Bar to actually have something satisfying to eat instead of going home hungry. Definitely not a place I would recommend.
