The bar is above average in Barcelona in general, with many tapas restaurants being great but just as good as the next one, however Bar Mut is exceptional. My only point of consideration is to be prepared for a higher price point if you really want to enjoy it to the max. The price of a dish may lead you to believe that it will be a fuller size than it is, whereas it can actually be more of a one-bite taste sensation, hence you need to order a few. We were in a group and found ourselves being conservative with our order as we were mindful of the total and it all adding up. In the end, the bill was totally reasonable for the quality, and I would feel a lot more comfortable going again now I know what to expect. I think it’s a perfect spot for two, or even a solo diner!
