It has m... read more This is more a message for my friends from outside Barcelona. You should discover other neighborhoods besides Gracia or Raval or the centre. Try Sants. It has many authentic Catalan places like this restaurant. Manel and Pau are two excellent cookers and Xavier is a very professional waiter that give you more than service. The atmosphere is very familiar and you feel welcome. Ask for Amanida de bolets amb pernil, and risotto with xistorra and allioli, and obviously the mitjagalta... which is not from pig. Guess from from what it is?

We arrived in Barcelona on saturday late evening and the closest open restaurant to our hostal was the Mitja Galta, so our decision to enter was based only on d... read more We arrived in Barcelona on saturday late evening and the closest open restaurant to our hostal was the Mitja Galta, so our decision to enter was based only on distance, not on reputation or anything like that.. after the experience I can tell that we have been really lucky: the dinner was really really good, the place is really nice and the personnel nice and kind. I tried the squid, my wife the fish chips and my daughter the vegetables tempura, and all of them were really delicate and tasty. My daughter opted for the yogurt dessert and then we noticed people eating fried eggs at the end of their dinners.. so we asked and it was another dessert ous coco mango : WOW!! Perfect! Summary: nice place, really nice people (we had a chat at the end and we all finished laughing together), wonderful food!

At lunch time during the week, they... read more Mitja Galta is a little restaurant with a tasteful decoration and friendly staff....but the best is definetely their food!!! At lunch time during the week, they have a working menu with around 4 options of starters, main dishes and desserts for a very reasonable price...it doesn't matter what you choose, they prepare all the dishes with a special touch and everything is super tasty! On the weekends for dinner, they have 2 different menus as well as a full selection of dishes that you can choose as you wish! I highly recommend this restaurant, you are going to have a wonderful gastronomic experience!!
