The staff could no longer have been inviting and quickly showed us a table in the front room. In an earlier life it was obviously someone's house. The decoration is quirky and the dishes a bit mismatched, but all this added to the atmosphere. We ordered a selection of 5 dishes between us 4 and everyone was delicious, piping hot and obviously boiled to order. Although the portions were generous for tapas, we quickly decided to taste some other dishes and the next 4 were just as good. We finished the house Dessert of the Catalan cream, which was fabulous. The service was excellent and we were served with a free glass of Vermouth. Absolutely wonderful, and it is worth finding out if you are looking for authentic tapas at a reasonable price in the center of Barcelona.
We saw the candles and followed them to this authentic post. We each had the menu for 16. Price was right considering the proportions. I'd return happily.
Very authentic food and everything we tasted was delicious! We stumbled over this restaurant while we walk through the Born neighborhood. Especially recommend the goat cheese and honey pinchos! Amazing. Also excellent service! Thank you.
We found this place by accident... Wow the sign says 60 years at the same location This is the typical family owned/run Cafe which does down to earth meals at a good price.. Our bill for two mains and 3 big beers was just 21 euros... Very happy with everything.. Going back again tomorrow.. Alan Carol from Australia...
It is a quiet and stylish restaurant. We tried main courses and it was very tasty. It's the perfect place when you need an intimate place to have a glass of wine and taste some great Catalonian dishes. It was the greatest red wine ever! :
