This was our first time, the server was extremely helpful in picking out our dinner selections both on the menu and off. All of the staff took interest in making sure that we were satisfied.
Sunday eve 2030, sat at the bar near the back and it was the perfect seat busy and noise wise. The service was so so good, just genuinely lovely people really happy to help which was a surprise having done a week or fairly grumpy people in restaurants! Wait for the burgers to come in the pintos unreaaaal!! House red is also fab. Thanks guys. Lovely eve.
I will start from the positive things, because at the end of our dinner sth happened that we again consider visiting this restaurant in the future. We were 8 people from Greece. We made a reservation by fork as we had read good reviews. The food is really good. They won't be disappointed. Except the salads that were nothing to remember what we taste otherwise, was very nice. The pork ribs, the croquette, the carpaccio and some very beautiful little sausages. Really nice cooked. For main dish very polite and ready to help waitress is suggested to share some ripe beef that was the best dish of the restaurant. We saw in the menu that the cost was about 7-7.5 euros per 100 gr. We asked how many grammar the steaks were and they informed us about 1 kg to 1.170 each. So we decided to share in the middle two steaks. The steaks came, they were about 1kg each and they were very nice. Then we asked for the bill. The bill came and we saw that they had charged us with steaks for 3.27 kilos, which meant 245€. Since we eat steaks, we are able to know how many kilos can be a steak. So we called the waitress, and we asked her why the receipt says we ate this crowd of steaks when we obviously didn't. She saw that we were disturbed and she went and after a few seconds she returned with a second entrance where the steaks cost 2,3 kilos and 175€. If we hadn't noticed we paid more than what we ate. And it's not about money, really not, but about us the feeling that they don't respect us. We made an invoice about 400€, not bad I think, and they would have respected it. We paid, we tipped the waitress because she wasn't very nice and we're not as excited as we were during our dinner because of this incident. Maybe we'll have another chance in the future.
Food quality has gone down. Rather cheap products focused on fast selling.. Still trying to go on the pinchos hype but not worth your visit anymore. If you make a reservation, it is for the restaurant, NOT for the pincho bar!
