There are a lot of good places for chocolate and churros in Barcelona which is sort of the equivalent of getting a Guinness in Dublin. I decided to opt for this one which is very popular and located in the Gothic quarter. If you can’t get in don’t panic there are many other fine establishments nearby with very good reputations like Granja La Palleresa. Granja which means farm and these were places that were originally licensed to sell milk products and the name is generally indicative that these are older establishments. Anyway this one is very good and very busy. You can’t go wrong. Excellent chocolate and churros

Really atmospheric little cafe, ideally placed for a break from the hustle and bustle. Not just churros and chocolate they make a damn fine cup of coffee and offer a good selection of cakes etc. Perhaps we were lucky, but didn’t have to wait on a table, with service prompt and efficient too.

Quality churros con chocolate. Perfectly delightful. Simple. Clean. Organized. And loved the history of the business.

Even that appears in travel guide, the place is not comfortable at all, service is terrible and xurros just OK. Xurreria Trevol is much better.
