We returned here for dinner after we came across this gem by accident. It was notable by the queue of clever diners waiting outside. When we asked about making a booking for the next evening a rather cocky little waiter with a deadpan expression told us 'no... you join the line outside.... sorry '. And now we known why people queue. The Seafood Cocktail starter is unlike anything by the same name you 've ever had. The Codfish main was hands-down the best fish dish I 've ever had the privilege of eating... in my entire life. And I have eaten some wonderful fish dishes. Our waiter, Mame, a charming man from Senegal, was exceptional with his friendly, attentive service and great menu advice. The decor is maritime bohemian, and the unique service-hatch or pass between the magic little kitchen and intimate restaurant area is to die for! This must surely be a Top-10-restaurants to visit in Barcelona 's Gothic Quarter.

We especially loved the paella and the garlic prawns, and the sangria was perfect. Titou was so thoughtful and attentive, noticing right away when I needed more prawns and just being genuinely sweet. Turbo was also wonderful, and the service overall was top-notch. Highly recommend! Price per person: €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
