The f... read more Came here to watch football. The outside seating look nice but I chose to seat inside to watch champion league. Good atmosphere with super friendly staff. The food somehow need a better finishing touch. For example the morros need to be cover by salt thoroughly on all of the pieces; the fried small squid was bland but the paella was salty. Love the warmth and hardworking staffs.

We ate here twice during our visit to Barcelona and both times the food was terrific. I don't know what some people expect from a tapas cafe. White table cloths? Obsequious waiters? Tiny portions preciously presented? None of those at R. Charrito. The first night we had the tapas sampler and the salad sampler and it was too much food for the two of us. The second night we focused on the dishes that we really liked deep fried calamari, seafood salad, grilled vegetables with goat cheese. The service is fast and friendly and the food is very reasonably priced and delicious. We had dinner both nights for under 35 Euros, including beer and wine. If you're looking for fine dining, move on. If you're looking for tasty, fresh tapas in a typical cafe setting, I recommend Restaurante Charrito.

So I o... read more Just ate here and ordered the set meal w a primary and secondary course dessert drink at 17.90euro. At the entrance, the guy told me it included a drink. So I ordered a white wine. At the end of the meal, the drink was charged separately. The guy at the entrance recommended the Fideua de marinara. Well the single mussel and prawn was extremely dry and tasteless. The cut up squids were v chewy and hard and the noodles very dry. Somehow the noodles smelt of frozen flavour. I chose the beef stew served w fries. The dish as appallingly salty. And it was cooked w potatoes so that the portion looks bigger. In actuality, it was very small. The beef was near to tender though. Ordered a cheesecake for dessert. Ordinary. The service in this place is so-so. I should have read the reviews before trying this restaurant as a tourist! I will not recommend it and will certainly not go back to it. I have never ever written a review immediately after a meal but feel this is a rip off and of very poor value and tastes.
