Bacanal Cafe - Barcelona

After a long journey from Reading UK we arrived to our airbnb hungry, tired and in great desire for local food. Opening our balcony door we saw this place right across the street Bacanal , thus we crossed the street. Welcomed by some kind hipsters we were given a taste of local tapas in a very alternative environment. Heavily recommended!

My friend and I got brunch there and it was delicious. The decor inside is cool and the atmosphere is relaxed. It was well priced and their lemonade is amazing! I got hummus; it was fresh and there was a large selection of things to dip into it.

We had been here some years ago and stopped by because of its great vibe. We had the friend haloumi cheese, patatas bravas and chicken fingers. Delicious. What sets Bacanal apart is they actually make their own tapas dishes unlike so many others who seem to use pre-made frozen food. Their food tastes good and is well made with care. It was wonderful. Best tapas we had during 2 weeks in Spain.

This place was right opposite our Air BnB and was so good we went there everyday for brunch. Staff are really friendly , place has a very cool laid back artsy vibe check out their Lego collection !!! The food is great and offers lots of options for vegans , veggies and gluten free , dairy free options !!

We were a party of 10 and they were able to accommodate us with no problems. We sat at a lovely big table and the kids loved the quirky decor, especially the playmobile collection. The owners are lovely and patient. The pancakes and chicken strips were highlights. The burger and smashed eggs were a little salty. We will go back!
