when we were in the autohogar hotel, which is in the same building, we were determined to eat there at lunchtime. although it was busy for Sunday dinner, the service was good and the eating was excellent. there is a set menu that is good... value and even better on weekdays. highly recommended. What Cristian Alicea doesn't like about Antic Cafe Espanyol:
Had fried eggs&bacon+toast&butter&coffee, decent. I think it ws called american breakfast if I remember correctly. Nothing special, the eggs needed some salt/pepper. None were brought to the table. I didn't ask, but I think it's normal to have those on the table. : View all feedback.
My meeting point every time I go to barcelona. good atmosphere, friendly and fast staff, and a most entertaining terrace.
To stay is quite expensive! but is what there are schedules no ?
An extremely busy walking spot in the skipping heart of the city. about as touristy as it becomes, and perhaps not the cheapest but cafe zürich is "the " meeting point for local and visitors alike, right in front of the plaça catalunya metro. efficient, professional service at the mouth of the ramblas. if they spend more than two days in barcelona, they will wait here, sooner or later, for someone.
Nice because it has not changed in the course of the years.
Historical coffee, with a hundred years, and local with more than a hundred years. located in a central area of the city condal, and good atmosphere, despite what surrounds that tourist area. expensive prices (two with ninety soda) make you pay at the time they serve you. friendly staff and good treatment
