At first glance, there are many different options on the menu, you don’t know what to choose. There are also a variety of healthy drinks too. Unfortunately, the meals were tremendously bland. The rice with lentils was not tasty. I would opt for the burger.
Barcelona is a very vegan/vegetarian friendly city, and there is no lack of options. Even with that, Alive really stands out. The food is all homemade or made in house, and the atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. There are a lot of different options available at Alive, ranging from sharing dishes (like plant based fondue! to pasta, as well as homemade burgers. I would definitely recommend getting one of those burgers...they are unlike any mass market vegan burger out there. Interestingly, I saw on either Trip Advisor or Yelp that Alive was an expensive restaurant, which I didn't understand. Everything was priced very moderately for two of us to eat appetizers, 2 entrees, dessert, and drinks was less than 60 euro, which is about what every other sit down restaurant in Barcelona costs. Alive would be a great stop if you're on your way to the airport as it's on the way...get a nice meal in before you fly! We loved it here and will definitely be back when we are in Barcelona again.
A short walk away from Camp Nou, the restaurant is a spectacular place for a fulfilling meal. Do go for the set menu, where you are sure to get something fresh and new everyday. The food was all vegan and wholesome, and you will definitely get gluten-free options. A special and unforgettable meal in Barcelona!
We went for lunch set menu. Value for the money as food is good and tasty. Nice service and lovely location
