From the moment we arrived and unti... read more We had the sixth floor family suite for four nights. This is a beautiful, historic hotel that’s been restored to perfection. From the moment we arrived and until we left, everything was handled to perfection. The concierge team was very helpful with guides, tickets and reservations to restaurants. The bellmen were always there to assist with taxis and baggage. The breakfast buffet had so much variety for everyone. The location is perfect (it’s in one of the nicest areas of Barcelona) and every landmark is within walking distance of the hotel. When we come back to Barcelona, we will definitely stay at El Palace.

The live music was beautiful, I... read more The afternoon tea at El Palace is an absolute delight. The architecture and decor are stunning, and the service was impeccable. The live music was beautiful, I wish I had said as much to the lovely pianist! We enjoyed the food immensely, especially the scones with whipped butter and a selection of jams. I expect we’ll be back many times, to repeat this experience but also to check out the morning yoga and the rooftop pool.

The bed was the most comfortable in the entire stay in Spain. Wonderful pillows, very roomy, great shower/bath. The bar made great drinks, albeit pricey, even for this hotel. I would stay again for sure.

It is in the classical luxury style of an early 20th century top tier hotel it did start life in 1919 as a Ritz Hotel and up until 1993). Our room was spacious including a great shower and bath. There is a wonderful large room past the check in desk where you can sit and enjoy the decor and have a relaxing drink. The hotel is in a great location but getting to the Sagrada or Park Guell will require a taxi or a short walk to catch the hop on hop off bus. I can't praise the professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff more highly. They made the stay most enjoyable.
