Sometimes it's nice not having to cook but still staying at home. That's when you order in. The thing is that ordering in is pretty much as expensive as eating out, except for the drinks, but I don't drink. But sometimes good opportunities arise. For instance, the other day, on Too Good To Go, I found a pack from A Pluma, a quite famous poultry restaurant in Barcelona. I thought (and I was right that the surprise bag might contain a roasted chicken, so I ordered it. I had to pick it up but, instead of paying €15 for a small chicken, which is pretty expensive in my opinion, I only paid €5, which probably is less than what I would have paid for a raw chicken at a supermarket (not to mention the time and electricity that I would have had to spend to cook it . Still, its value is €15, which is what I would have paid if I had ordered it to go. As I said, it's a small chicken, perfect for 2 2.5 people. And it's delivered with potatoes. But the quantity of potatoes is quite small. There are not enough potatoes for 2 people. Not a big deal when you're at home, as you can make a salad: it's healthier and a good complement to that meal. As I said, A pluma is not a fast food restaurant. Their prices are quite high and they're supposed to sell high quality products. Honestly I was quite disappointed with the chicken: it's ok, but it's not better than any other roasted chicken you can buy in the street for way less money. The potatoes are really good, on the contrary, especially if you eat them with the garlic (and truffle? sauce they give to you that tastes really strong. The pick up was pretty agile and the staff was nice. I'm pretty satisfied because it didn't cost me much, but I wouldn't have been happy if I had paid €15. It's not worth it and I don't think I would even order a chicken there for the full price. The menu here isn't lengthy. It focuses on a few dishes, done very well. Chicken is the obvious highlight. (They have a big rotisserie of chicken in the front of the restaurant. But there are several other dishes we tried that were great, particularly the tomato salad which is simply tomatoes, oil and some chives (or young onion? It's great. They also have a nice outdoor seating area that's feel very private and sits far from the road. My family and I have gone there a couple times as we live nearby and each time has been consistently great when you're in the mood for some chicken and fresh, well done salad. Also the mole chicken is pretty fantastic. One thing I noticed is that they're closed on Sunday evening and on Monday.
