This charming pub has a rich history. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a crackling fire and the enticing aroma of freshly baked bread. Although I was just stopping in for a drink, I couldn't resist taking a peek at the menu and soaking in the cozy atmosphere. I ended up staying for dinner and ordered the lamb, which was absolutely delicious. With its inviting ambiance and tasty dishes, this place is a mu... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Dove, Hammersmith:
How was the location? What about the atmosphere? And the food quality? Although a bit pricey, the food is amazing. They only have around 5 taps for drinks, they could definitely add more. Also, they do not provide heating for outdoor seating. They have two heaters, but sometimes only one or both are on during cold days, which is a big downside. Ironically, I got sunburned on a sunny day because there was no shade. Ov... View all feedback.
A fantastic place for a pint and a drink especially on a sunny day, as the deck and the midst floor are intimate and positioned for a beautiful view over the thems. the employees are attentive and really take care of their customers. will definitely return and recommend.
A local legend, a proper pub, with a strong claim to being the best pub in Hammersmith! Staff lovely, views of the river dreamy, food and drink delicious and all with a palpable sense of history.
Dropped in last night for a drink and some food. It was busy! Definitely need to book. I've been here quite a few times over the past couple of decades. Really lovely outdoor seating area with great views of the river. Cosy and traditional is how I'd describe the interior of this historic pub. Well worth a visit.
Really nice pub in a great setting on the banks of The Thames. Good selection of drinks and snacks. Only negative is that the bar is Cashless
The Dove! Lovely Pub on the river in Hammersmith very cosy rooms and dehors. But...we visited on the hottest day in England. Rooms didn't have any sort of ventilation and although staff was totally friendly they were not even remotely trained. Confusion reigned at the till and around tables. Just to give you an idea for my Gazpacho I had to ask for a Spoon. Beer was all spilled over the table! And the food was just not aligned to what standards are . Plus... a glass of wine costs.... only 50 pence more than a beer !???? What's this? A joke? Beer is generally cheaper than wine like.... Much Cheaper. Food was a NoNo. The schnitzel was the size of my palm and watery, for 16 pounds not really acceptable. Gazpacho was ok-ish but the colour was orange and not red The Burrata was NOT a Burrata and slightly acidic. They told us they could have replaced it with a salad with Grated mozzarella. We underlined that Grated Mozzarella doesn't Exist. So again, yes for a drink on the river NO for everything else. Cheers!
