Gulmarg is about half an hour journey further uphill vis-a-vis this place. The view from the front of the hotel is beautiful. Do insist on the road facing room and on the higher floor for lesser disturbance and a clean view of the snow clad mountains. The Hotel is situated in Tangmarg (not Gulmarg). So, dont get fooled if some of the hotel booking websites sell this mentioning Gulmarg About stay : Thr room was spacious and neat. The bathroom had hot water from the geyser. As the highway is right opposite the hotel, you may end up getting early in the morning due to honking taxis as tourists start moving uphill to Gulmarg. The hotel does not provide water and also there is no filter/RO water available. It means you will have to cough up money every time you need to drink water by buying bottled water. Cable tv, though present, rarely works. The hotel sent engineer the moment we complained; but the engineer also couldnt fix it after an hour worth of trial-n-error method to fix it. Calling this out as there isnt much to do around and you may need some entertainment once its dark outside and you have no where to go. About food : The vegetarian food is extremely tasty. Though on the expensive side, its okay as it tasted good. On the flip side, the waiters/ support staff ask for tips explicitly and arent happy with what you give them. They ask for more. Its a bit of a dampener in the overall experience Overall, it was a comfortable (and expensive) stay. You would want to consider this if there are no decent hotels in Gulmarg OR they are way too expensive for your budget.

The food was so delicious and perfect as we expected. The table we have sit together it was mountain facing view. It also make the environment good. The interior was good and totally woody setup and the warm lighting make it more good looking. In the front of this restaurant have open tables. You can take your food here as well.
