I discovered Testa while looking for a nice place to have dinner with my family. I was in the mood for a somewhat upscale restaurant, and this place definitely met my expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, and we ended up ordering way too much since the portions were generous. I highly recommend sharing several dishes. The standout items were the Clam Chowder, and the Calamari, which was fantastic and came wit... View all feedback.

Busy night in Bar Harbor. Short wait to be seated. Waitstaff very pleasant. Cocktails were watery, which was disappointing for the price. The MDI mussels were the highlight of the meal. Deliciously served scampi style and piping hot. The main course was a $30 lobster roll served with coleslaw and chips. Presentation was lovely, however, flavor was lacking. Overall, very nice dinner. Love the atmosphere and the lobster bib. I ordered the taste of Maine. I enjoyed it and will certainly recommend and order it again safely. The only so-so was fried Calamari because of too many fried onion rings as Calamari.
We absolutely loved our dinner here. The Calamari with fried vegetables was surprisingly delicious. We couldn't end it by the generous part. Our favorite was the superfood shrimp avocado salad! So refreshing to eat just a bunch of green while you? re on vacation that is not saturated with dressings or toppings (we decided from the bacon). The fish and chips were also incredible. Did you love the ?haddock Nugget? Our leaf Peepers beer was also delicious. Our server was great and it was a pleasant experience on a very busy Sunday evening.
Oh, my seafood, this place was delicious! We've been dining here by chance last minute when all the other places had to wait an hour. We could get a table in 20 minutes! The service was incredible! I look forward to the coconut yarn probably the best I ever had! The blueberry sauce was the perfect balance of sweet spicy! I also enjoyed the Black Fish Taco's Holy Mackerel! They were so dynamic in taste had the best flavors! My husband had the Clam-Chowder, based on the topics mentioned so far, you can think it was just as good! He said it? The best he could have had 2 3 bowls of just that for dinner! He also had the grilled shrimp, bacon avocado caesar salad. Everything was perfectly stupid!
We went to Testa?s for both breakfast and dinner. The lobster Benedict was great, as was the the sweet cream spiced coffee. Dinner was good, but not as impressive as some other places we went. However, do stop in just for the Chowdahh fries, they were SO GOOD.
Delicious! I ordered the blacken fish taco. It was beautifully platted and equally delicious. In classic Maine fashion it had blueberries in it along with pine apple. The margarita was also good! Mojito on the other hand tasted just like juice lol. we also had the calamari as an appetizer. It was great, perfectly cooked on a bed of asparagus, grilled peppers and lettuce.
