With a name change to 'Thai Khon Kaen', new owner, Anna, goes out of her way to please. Although not on the menu, Anna provided a buffet for our party of 10 comprising a selection of 4 entrees, 8 mains and both plain and coconut rice. What User doesn't like about Thai Khon Kaen:
'Thai Khon Kaen' is a small restaurant in newly developing location close to Latrobe University, our group was made of 13 individuals, we found the food to be average although plentiful.Pricing was reasonable with mains averaging around $16.00.Service was good although only one waiter to service all in the restaurant, which kept him running most of the nightOnly issue was that due to size of our party there was a wait for food to be prepared and delivered, it seemed to be one cook and one waiter.

Sensational! (no pun intended on the old name). The coconut ice-cream I had for dessert was unexpectedly creamy (like I remember ice-cream to be as a child) and refreshing. Will definitely be back. If I could offer any advice, it would be that the drinks service needs work. The beer drinkers amongst us had to call for replenishment on several occasions.
I don't think any professional cook is working here. You will be definitely disappointed. The only positive thing is that the service person was quite friendly.
I have had take away a few times now and ate in for the first time last night. This place is a gem. It is in a newly built shopping area so its just getting off the ground but the food is spectacular.Anyone in the local area i urge to try it. You will not be disappointed. If you like Thai food, this is your place. The deep fried Net Spring Rolls are to die for!!
Thai Khon Kaen is a small restaurant located in a newly developing area near La Trobe University. Our group of 13 people found the food to be average but plentiful. The prices were reasonable, with the average cost per person being around $16.00. The service was good, although it seemed that there was only one person running the restaurant that night. This caused a delay in getting our food as there was only one cook and one waiter serving our large party.
