Love this place, we frequent the Plough about once a month we love it because the three of us can come here, order a main meal and a drink for under $60. It's not gourmet by any stretch but it's a night out from home and usually a bit of a flutter at the pokies afterwards. The only downside is that the smokers area outside makes sitting in the dining area a bit cold with people in and out all the time, would be great... What User doesn't like about Plough Hotel:
Very disappointed visit! Went with couple of friends to the Plough Hotel and what a dirty place that is. Empty glasses everywhere. Staff not attentive and not friendly. Will not visit again. Rather get a slap of warm beer and take it home..... hahaha. Management ( if there is one) need to have a very close look at this operation. View all feedback.
We dined at a pokies place with a basic hotel menu and ordered steak with pumpkin and a salad with vegetables and pepper sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. The dessert was simply cooked with a great taste and not soggy like in some other hotels. The best chips I can remember and the pepper sauce was not heavy, but had a perfect pepper taste. The chef is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back for more of his delicious dishes. We travel often and eat out frequently, but we were surprised to find such a great dining experience close to home.
This is my second visit to this restaurant and once again the service was very slow. The menu was good and the food was nice, but the slow service was disappointing and there was no apology for the delay.
This is a lovely and peaceful spot for dinner. The restaurant offers delicious and affordable meals, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.
Great place for a meal that is cheap. recently renovated. cozy, atmosphere, prices for a pub meal $12. hamburger, $11, good value, always had a good meal here, never complaining. very cheap.
Basically the plough is a pokies pub. Undoing development that may improve it which would be surprising. Rates as a top performer as far as go in pokies taking, pub tab that is a pub tab of no extraordinary style or class and really...no meals supplied of any style. Not the place for a family meal or gathering.
