Oriental Jade Restaurant - Banyule

Opted for takeout tonight and the vegetarian spring rolls were delicious as always. The sweet and sour chicken was excellent. However, the Mongolian chicken was a letdown - too greasy and overly salty. Will not be ordering the Mongolian chicken again.

Took the family here for the first time. Food was delicious, beats some of the local Chinese we’ve had recently. Beef black bean and Singapore noodles were great. Kids loved the ever popular chicken and sweet corn soup. Loved that you could get a carafe...of house wine Staff were pleasant. Will visit again.

Whilst the restaurant was clean, friendly and comfortable, the menu was limited and showed no imagination which, in modern days with high competition between eateries we have come to expect. Dishes were tasty, served quickly and were of adequate size but did not excite my...palate as much as I would like to expect. As I said, staff were friendly and prepared to modify dishes to our suggestions but overall this Restaurant failed to make me want to go there again and again.

Basic restaurant. Not very big. Basic food, but nice. I would select another restaurant. Prices are pretty good, though.

I chose to have a simple Sunday dinner and ordered the Combination soup, Chinese sausage, and special fried rice. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with everything. The meal was very average, and the special fried rice was the most basic I have ever had. It only had a small amount of egg, one prawn, and what I think was a little pork. It was not the flavorful rice I was expecting. Overall, I would not return for such a small and disappointing meal. The whole dining experience was underwhelming.
