We visit this place quite frequently as it is close to home. The quality has been consistent with each order. I particularly like the scallop and the potato cakes, the flake fish is also great. Service is friendly and fast so no complain there. I just read some previous comments, the price has gone up over the years but so has petrol, maccas, supermarket trips and everything else. This is actually a bargain dinner for us if I am craving seafood and not wanting to spend heaps in restaurants.

Ordered over the phone on a Friday night a takeaway fish and chip order. Previously found to be fair in price, now, quite a bit extra you pay. Partner wanted a grilled flake, was $5.50, now $6.50 grilled. My order fried flathead, was $6.00, now $7.80. Min. chips, was $3.50, now $4.00. Two potato cakes, was $0.90 each, now $1.00 each. Over 15% increase. I can live with the increase, but not when the fish you order is high in price but small in what you receive. With the flathead, in the past you would usually receive two fillets about the same size. But, the fried flathead l received were a long fillet and half a fillet. When the thickness of batter was removed, the fillets were laughable in size. On querying the increase in prices with the Chinese lady behind the counter, she jokingly laughed stating prices have gone up, as much as 15%? Food was good, but maybe order grilled fish, at least you can see the size of your fish you are paying higher prices for.

This is our local fish n chip shop, so we visit numerous times throughout the year. Even with the recent change in management the quality is still quite good. We rarely have reason to not be satisfied with our order. The oil must be changed regularly because the fried food is always crisp and not greasy. Give the burgers a try.

Very good service and nice quality ingredients. Always well on timing and flakes are crisp. One of the best in Lower Plenty area.
