Happy Jacks Restobar - Banilad

We have heard good things about this Resto/bar and were invited by our friends for a St Patrick's day celebration. We were to meet our frienda at 12:30pm for lunch and drinks and arrived early (11:45am) as we thought it might be busy with celebrating expats. There is off-street parking which was okay for the Philippines and we were the first to arrive. My wife was already hungry and since the place opened at 11:00am she figured she could order food, but was informed by the lone waitress that the cook would not be in until 2:00pm. The waitress was very nice and phoned the cook to come in early and we were able to order lunch. My wife had the sweet and sour Chicken, which was warmed up from the previous day and the chicken was tough and soggy. The rest of us (five people) ordered the bacon and cheese burgers with fries, the burgers were very good but there were very few fries. We ordered green beer for the occasion and it was purely do-it-yourself, a bottle of beer, a glass and a bottle of green food color. I had ordered the pulled pork burger as did my friends but there was no pulled pork. Later, I ordered onion rings and there were none, so I ordered chicken wings, both mild and hot. The wings arrived and were ****, they were sent back twice and were still undercooked. The only good thing about this place were the staff, very friendly and helpful.

Just visit that place guys.. Friendly atmosphere, eat, drink, dance, sing and play billiard! Really it's the place to be in Dumaguete.. Enjoy

Easy to find, always nice to visit. For a special treat, suggest that you try the Blue Cheese Pizza.

The food was tasty and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, and they had cold beer, nice acoustic music, and soothing live music. They also offer free karaoke every Sunday and Tuesday night. I absolutely adore this place!

This restaurant offers excellent value and a laid-back atmosphere. The food is delicious and the waitstaff is efficient. Make sure to visit on live music nights for even more enjoyment. Thanks for creating such a fun environment!
