I visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday, and it was my first time there. Everything was fantastic—the food was delicious, the manager was outstanding, and my drink was prepared perfectly! I will definitely be returning; it's a great spot for family gatherings! View all feedback.
What Cloyce Cody doesn't like about El Jimador:
Delicious! Mmm... Their dishes are really tasty, but it seems like the serving sizes are getting smaller. You don't truly appreciate what you have until you leave the larger cities and find your restaurant options becoming limited. View all feedback.
What use to be a good restaurant has really went down hill. Service at night is a disaster. They went up on prices and made the portions smaller. Use to be a 3 to 4 times a week place to eat. Now it's a once a month.
Very poor customer service. I went through the drive through and ordered 3 chicken plates and 2 tortas. I asked if it came with chips and hot sauce. They told me no . So I asked how much for a small little thing of hot sauce (for the torta would cost. She told me 2.00 ok?? Nevermind?? Got home and my order was made wrong. I called and asked if they could make another or refund the money. I guess making another was too much trouble for them??? They refunded my money for the 2 mistakes and never offered to just make another!?! (Which was all I wanted!!! They are an absolute joke! Now I know why they are always empty! Last time I will go there!

I was passing through Bangs, TX, in Central Texas, and decided to stop at a local bank to withdraw some cash. While there, I asked the teller for recommendations on where to find a good meal, and she suggested El Jimador (which I believe translates to "field worker" or "farmer"). Her recommendation was spot on! I had the most delicious Divorced Eggs I've ever tasted. The eggs were perfectly cooked sunny side up and topped with a tangy red sauce and a green sauce. The dish was complemented by a generous serving of fresh cubed potatoes and beans, along with warm, fresh corn tortillas. All of this came to less than $10, including the tip. The service was just what I expected—not fast food, but genuine and friendly. If I’m ever in the area again, I can’t wait to visit El Jimador once more. If you find yourself nearby, I highly recommend checking it out. Just a heads up, it may not look like much from the outside, but the magic happens inside! Enjoy!
I absolutely love this place! The food and service are amazing! They always serve generous portions, and my husband and I often share a dish. The customer service is outstanding! It’s definitely the best Mexican food in the area!
