this place is fun. I love it. they don't always have the drinks I'm after...but I'm over Australians so I'm always very kindly used to another series. the nachos were an interesting and tasty experience haha View all feedback.
Went for Sunday carvery. Food was good. All fresh veg and a good choice of meat. Had to wait a while because they had run out of plates and my drink came with a dirty glass when I asked to change it the replacement glass was also dirty.

This is a large pub featuring numerous TV screens. It wasn't very busy during my afternoon visit, but considering Bangor is a university town, I'm sure it will get busier later on. The beer selection is excellent, and the service is friendly.
I was shocked to have to pay an entry fee at a pub—it's been a while since I encountered that! But my disappointment quickly turned to joy when I found out that pints were just £1 at the bar. I was over the moon! We were part of a small group, one of whom was dressed as a bride, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The music, the dancing, the beer, and the affordable drinks all made for a great time. Thank you, Varsity!
I visited this restaurant during the day for coffee and a full English breakfast (or perhaps a Welsh breakfast?). The breakfast was delicious and quite filling, and the coffee was decent. The staff were wonderful, and the place has a lot of character with its historical ambiance and local touches. It’s a fantastic spot for enjoying a beer and good food in Bangor.
