I've been dining here for 11.5 years and have always enjoyed great food. I would say it's the best Japanese restaurant near Bangor-Brewer. The owner and his children are extremely friendly and always recognize us when we visit. I ordered takeout in person, and my order took 20 minutes longer than the estimated time. That was my first issue. The sushi was disappointing. The sweet potato in the sweet potato roll was undercooked. The eel avocado roll had an unexpected crunch, as though they had added tempura flakes. Love love this place! they are very slower for taking away food, but the estimates are always consistent and accurate, so I have just adapted to order a bit ahead. one of us who is worth waiting!
The sushi chef did an absolutely spectacular job. Savannah was a delightful server and worked with me to make sure I would stay away from any allergens. This is absolutely the best sushi in the area!
This was our first time getting takeout here and it was amazing! Super friendly people and the sushi is so far the best in the area. Soo yummy!
The food is always amazing. I've had the teriyaki chicken bento box, pan fried gyoza, chicken fried rice, chicken pad thai (original has just a little kick but it's very good), unagidon (delicious eel dish on rice with pickled items, it's a large serving that you could certainly split with someone), and a few of the sushi rolls. I specifically go back to the Mexican maki roll, that one's my favorite. I've also had the Boba/bubble drink and those are all delicious, could be had as a dessert because they are sweet. The staff and chefs are always very kind as well and we are always happy to return.
Delicious food very fresh. I loved the floor seating and so did my granddaughters. It is their favorite restaurant to go to. Sure wish they had a children's option. If they did we would go more often. That is why I gave it 4 stars.
