We went in for lunch and were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was well prepared and reminded of the food I have eaten in Thailand. The server recommended several dishes and the ones we had did not disappoint. View all feedback.
What Kay Sorge doesn't like about Mama D Thai Cuisine:
Prices are pretty high for food that 's kinda mid. The Cashew dish was good, mango curry tasted good but was quite loose. The dumplings tasted like absolutely nothing, as it was just a chunk of dry pork meat in a wonton wrapper, no other ingredients to be found inside. The Rangoons are expensive as hell, because they use real crab meat but sifting through them, there was maybe 2 or 3 little shreds of meat. Way too mu... View all feedback.
Wonderful quality! Right across from theater, parking on street Yummy volcano bowl. I had basil with Ken 4 star with Jasmine rice. My husband Po Fu w seafood. Everything was, service a little slow at beginning but it was busy Clean, comfortable and welcoming. When returning to Bangor will go again
Undecided on this place so far. Ordered Pad Thai at 3 stars spiciness. It was just ok. A little bland and overly sweet.I also ordered Tom Kha soup. The portion seemed small for the price but it was very tasty.I ordered takeaway. It was prepared quickly. The food was hot when I picked it up, and the employees were friendly.I may give it another shot.

The Rangoons are expensive as hell, because they use real crab meat but sifting through them, there was maybe 2 or 3 little shreds of meat. Way too much curry in the mix. Even if there was crab in it, you wouldn 't be able to taste it. I 'd go back for the Kiss Me Cashew, but that 's it. The rest was pretty disappointing, especially considering how much everything cost.

We live in Seattle and are blessed with many many Thai restaurants and love the food. We came to Maine for the holidays and decided to try Mama D's. I must say we were skeptical. Well we were blown away!! The food was spectacular. Super fresh, perfectly spiced and above all so great tasting. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Bangor area. We went many times while in town and every time was as good as the first. We can't wait to go back!!
