Since I moved to Bangor 11yrs ago I have enjoyed Judy's breakfasts. And my wife really enjoys it. Great price, people and great atmosphere. Sat/Sun I would really recommend the chicken fried steak. In fact we just got back from our outing to Judy's. :P View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Judy's:
I don’t want to be mean but I am truly upset that this place came up number one for breakfast in Bangor. How did this happen?!? This is an old greasy spoon restaurant. Food was not good at all but very overpriced. Being out of town and looking for a good breakfast, I am so sad that we wasted our money there. The guy washing the dishes is such a nice guy. Regulars were nice too. (At least at breakfast) it just doesn’t... View all feedback.
So my reviews are generally associated with high end NYC restaurants and travel. Perhaps this one is a nod to the “real USA”. For the intrepid, there is Judy’s in Bangor Maine. I loved the character of this run down diner. Throughout my 8 am visit I think Judy’s served more stiff hard liquor drinks than eggs. Hair of the dog and a ticket to rehab, but a nice way to dine vicariously while the liver holds up. Aside of the local people watching and thinking that this place should be the base for the next character novel the breakfast hit the spot. Judy’s breakfast potatoes had great texture crispy on the outside and a soft inside. Then there was the simple English muffin. I am not sure what she does to it (I venture to guess it is grilled) but it is addictive and you do not find them cooked this way in NYC. Whether it be for people watching or a simple breakfast check out this place.

The waitress was excellent, she knew exactly what to ask for questions and knew when we needed coffee refills and everything went so smooth! Her customer service was perfect! Nice dine in area, also!
Judy’s is a bangor neck clip, a place everyone should visit, enjoy a cup of coffee, have a really big omelette or a morning drink when that is their imagination. the restaurant is almost always busy, stalls with masters, post-night shift nurses and tourists, the right choice to come here. it is small, cozy and gives them a feeling as if they were invited personally, someone who lives in a restaurant, I can't explain it differently. when they look at my other reviews, they will notice that I do not visit such places, but I came to judy’s once, and will come again and again, every new face brings to bangor to experience this quintessential locale.
If you find yourself in Bangor, Judy's is the place for breakfast!! Everything was delicious, food plentiful. Hash homemade and the best I've eaten, husband had pancakes and they are equally delicious. Nothing to say bad about this place, great food, good servers, and friendly!
