Saawaan - Bangkok

All the food are very salty. Me and my friends didn’t like it at all. I feel like the ones we think its ok are the ones off tasting menu. Plus, an old angry man came yelling at our table because we were on a phone with a friend and probably too loud. We might be wrong on the volume (without realizing) but the guy or (especially) the restaurant could have warned us politely like an adult. I think the restaurant could have managed this better. A staff apologized for the man saying he was drunk but anyway who behave like that to strangers? We do not recommend this restaurant. The taste was one thing, we could still enjoy each other’s company and a wine I brought. But letting this type of incident happen was the end of it. We really thought the service was nice but the way you handle the situation was unprofessional. We won’t ever come back and won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

One of the more affordable michelin starred dinner in bkk. Don't expect a luxurious ambience. It's more a comfortable setting. While the food was super interesting but we enjoyed the dessert more. Overall a pleasant meal. Book in advance! And the reservation response was superb. We made last minute additional and they kindly obliged for a full house booking and also adjusted the dietary requirements. Thumbs up!

Wonderful meal! We really enjoyed the food here. The food tasted great, complex flavours the desserts were amazing. Love it! The service was very good as well. Saawaan is one of the best Michelin Star Thai Restaurants so far. Highly Recommended!

My first Thai omakase experience and definitely worth to try. Booked in advance and only serving less than 10 tables. The ambient was dim and best for couples. Food presentation was good but cutleries could be better. A lot of coconut milk as part of the ingredients in most dishes and it wasn’t very spicy. Slightly salty for me but overall was acceptable. All dishes were nice and personally love the desserts. There few dishes were not on the menu and it worth the price. They changed menu every few months and I would definitely will come back for new menu. Can’t remember the name of each dish. Check out the menu in my photos. I visited beginning of July’22. I would give 6 stars if I could. As a Michelin 1 star restaurant, the price is very inexpensive. 5400 bhat for 2 person ONLY 2 tasting menu,and ordered 1 cocktail) The taste is absolutely good with Thai elements. The style of their dishes are Thai, little spicy and fresh. The impressive dish to me is the dessert. as I love coconut very much)The level of sweetness matches my taste not too sweet) Very good service.
