Tasty food hygenically prepared ,courteous staff and acceptable pricing. The restaurant is easy to locate from the main road and very easy to access also. The flight of steps is a small hurdle for aged people though. Sea food is the highlight in the menu and availability is always depending on the days catch. please expect a slight delay in services while all seats are taken but the wait is always worth when the dish... Sea food is amazing here. It’s definitely worth visiting this place.
Fantabulous experience of dining here. The ambience is excellent and worth giving your taste buds the authentic taste of sea food. The romantic karaoke of famous numbers add life to the already wonderful place. Must visit for the real taste of Kerala! The hospitality is warm and friendly
We had ordered two sadhya and appam with veg stew. Food was Amazing. Just like how good it's available in Kerala. Next up, I would love to try the fish and chiken menu
Turned up here on a lazy Saturday evening with a friend of mine to try out a few new additions to the menu. Have heard a lot about the outlet in St.Mark's Road and ever since they opened doors in Residency Road an year ago, been waiting to try them out and finally got the chance yesterday. Coming to the location, the place is ideally located in the busy and bustling Residency Road, next to Communiti and Meghna Biryani. Easy to locate, and the ambience is quite nice and welcoming. Since the place is famous for it's seafood dishes, we decided to start out with the Koonthal Porichathu(Rs.280 which was masala coated fried Squid. It was well made, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, proved to be a good starter. Then we tried the Beef Dry Fry and the Beef fry, because I believe we can judge a Kerala cuisine place by the authenticity and quality of its beef dishes And going by that scale, I'd give this place full marks The beef fry had a significant flavor of pepper and reminded me of those iterations we get back home. Beef dry fry was phenomenal and the fried onions and the marination just added to the oomph factor. Beware though, the dish is spicy, but the spice just adds to the wow factor and elevates the dish to the next level. The house special Chicken Tawa fry(Rs.250 which was our next order was also super yumm, juicy chicken pieces coated in their special marination. Apart from these, we tried out their Fish Chatti curry which was basically White pomfret Fish molee and appams, and the Prawns Ghee roast(Rs.370 . The ghee roast tasted authentic and did justice to that style of preparation. The fish molee, I personally felt, could be better, with the gravy being not so thick and the fish flavor standing out a bit. Managed to squeeze in a Sambharam also in between, which actually is Kerala style spiced buttermilk, and it was refreshing. Ended the meal with a hot Sulaimani which was quite the ending punch, and had that Mohabbat(mandatory Ustad Hotel reference The service at the place was quick and attentive, and the manager Mr.Anson was kind enough to take us through the whole menu and made sure we had a good time. In all, we had a really good time here, and would definitely be back to try out more from the menu, and for the price point, this is a very good option to try out for authentic Kerala dishes in the area.
