La Casa Brewery Kitchen

Farida has given excellent customer service we would like to visit la casa due hospitality provided. Thank farida and team la casa food is really nice

I'm glad to have finally visited La Casa Brewery and that's one name off my list of places to visit. To begin with the ride to La Casa is pretty treacherous, to say the least. The Hosa road needs to be fixed. And quick! There is great parking space for 4 wheelers in an adjacent open plot to the right of the restaurant and a little lane for two wheelers on the left. Once you've shaken off the dust the entrance is pretty inviting and so is the walk up to the restaurant. A lovely brick oven and a sight of the micro brewery is pretty neat. The bar is nice and the seating is plenty, well spaced and designed. The entire place is cozy. The staff is pretty attentive but the music is intense for a closed space, making conversation even while placing orders difficult! But the beer is good and served chilled. The food was great. However the plate of wasabi fries was disappointing. The portion was tiny, with tiny fries I missed the lovely long and golden ones. The dip was a bowl of store bought mayonnaise with a dash of wasabi. Not nice! But moving on the Jack Daniels Steak was good. The meat was cooked right and it was cut into little portions that made it easier to share. The sauce was rich and good but it had too many bits of sugar that we kept biting into during the meal. The mashed potato was tasty (buttery) and the grilled veggies an absolute delight. The banana leaf fish with fennel rice and creamed coconut was my favorite. The fish was presented all wrapped up with a little bow and was delicious. The fennel rice was tasty and the creamed coconut was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The food was good but for a few flaws. The washrooms are nice too. I'm going back!
