Contribute FeedbackFor a special afternoon tea experience with a magnificent view, Rundle Bar is the place to go. The ambiance and view are outstanding, making it a perfect spot for a delightful meal and great conversation. The food is tasty and beautifully presented, making it a little bit pricey, but well worth it for the overall experience. The service is top-notch, with helpful staff like Amy providing excellent service. However, it's important to note that some visitors have had issues with food temperature and taste, as well as slow service. Despite these drawbacks, Rundle Bar remains a fantastic choice for those looking for an exceptional afternoon tea experience with stunning views.
We had an amazing time at The Rundle Bar! We went for afternoon tea for my mom’s birthday and our waiter Marco was very personable and went above and beyond to make us feel special and have fun. He snapped some pictures for us, helped us with tea selection when asked for recommendations and made to experience very enjoyable! We also enjoyed drinks on the patio on a previous day which was a great experience as well. After having been closed for a couple days we found some pieces of broken glass under the table blown over from the days they were closed. The staff were amazing about it! They apologized profusely and quickly cleaned it up. They made sure our dogs who were with us were alright and even asked if we wanted to switch tables. Accidents happen, but we couldn’t have asked for a better response to it! The juice I tried was great and my family enjoyed the homemade ginger ale they always get when visiting there. In both our dining experiences, the scenery was amazing too!
Disappointing. Only couple to be sat well away from the windows so no view. Server Marco really didn’t want to make the long journey down the stairs to the coffee maker to get a coffee so chose a drink that was closer for him. Ridiculous. Would not recommend.
I have waited so long to come to afternoon tea at the Banff Springs Hotel! I absolutely love the history and the grandeur of this hotel and location. Yesterday was a fantastic day. I treated my sister to the afternoon tea to celebrate her upcoming wedding next weekend. I put a little note in my reservation application that this event was going to be taking place next weekend and the whole staff congratulated her as they walked by doing their duties. She felt so important and so special. It’s exactly how I wanted her to feel! I am not a wealthy person, but it was so worth it! Dressing up to go to such a stunning location was absolutely perfect. I love that you want to keep the feel of afternoon tea like a royal experience. It was absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for the amazing service and personalized attention. We’re going to make it an annual affair.
Food, service and view all wonderful! We absolutely enjoyed the experience! They were great in accommodating my GF needs. FYI Open table says you get 3 hours of free parking, but Banff Fairmont only comes you for 2 hours of parking.
I love going to the Banff Springs for High Tea, and this time they were able to accommodate our request for a window seat and my gluten-sensitivity. All of the food was excellent. I wasn't super crazy about the devilled ham sandwich but I highly enjoyed everything else, and I always love the scone, cream and preserves. While I absolutely love Darjeeling tea, I find their particular selection a bit weak. I've had Darjeeling tea all over Europe and this one just tastes weak, even if you continuously steep it. I've had it twice and both times it was just, meh. I do think they should consider allowing take out boxes for anything you don't consume. They kinda force you into a food coma, as you've paid $90 for this tower of food but you're forced to eat it all there. I also think that a warm up on the tea should be available. You only get one pot of tea and once it's cold, that's pretty much it; either drink it cold or leave it there. Our waitress was nice, though I wish she had been a bit more attentive. The wait for our tower seemed a bit lengthy, which I don't blame her for. She just didn't check on us that much. I'd also recommend a good sweep down of the chairs before seating the next guest. We sat in the green chairs next to the window and my chair had hair on it and a random piece of popcorn. There was also a dead bee in the window. I swept the popcorn off but then I had to ask a server walking by to pick the popcorn up off the floor. A number of servers just walked by the popcorn on the floor, as if it wasn't noticeable. They don't serve popcorn at high tea, just saying. All that said, I would definitely go back when another special occasion calls for it.
