Patrinos Banff - Banff National Park

This restaurant is located in the hotel we are staying at, so we had breakfast and dinner here on the first day of our stay. Great staff, but I am afraid I cannot say the same thing about their food. The penne alla rose we had ordered was served with a sauce that was a little too sweet. The chicken fingers, however, were served hot. The garlic toast was perfectly crispy. The cocktail, cool as cucumber, tasted a little muddled not sure whether I can use that word for a cocktail . The breakfast spread was better, the scrambled eggs tasted funny. The staff are exceptional and eager to help. The decor manages to create an atmosphere of coziness.

Was here on July 28th for some food at about 8:45 pm. Tuscan Pizza and Lasagna was great when it arrived, but the server/bartender was rude at first, we thought about leaving but decided to stay as we were hungry and were staying in the adjoining hotel. We decided we wouldn't be coming back. The server improved his demeanor later on, but he appeared to know the customers seated at the bar (maybe he worked with them or they were regulars/locals) and was more invested in serving them it appeared. We did not feel very welcome overall during our time at Patrinos.

Low quality breakfast buffet. My whole family got food poisoning afterwards and have derailed our vacation.

Chris was our server at Patrino's for the three visits we ate with them. We enjoyed two breakfasts (1 buffet on Sunday) and also a dinner. For our breakfast on the menu, we were incredibly satisfied by the pancakes and rocky mountain breakfast. They hit the spot for a day trekking around the hills. Before our airport pick up, we also enjoyed the buffet breakfast where it was a pick n mix. Our dinner was delicious too. We had ribs and lasagne; super flavourful and filling! We overheard that pastas are made onsight, and you could certainly taste its freshness.

Don't bother. With all the good dining available don't stoop to eat here.
