While some diners praised the margaritas and food, others expressed disappointment with the lack of attentive service and unprofessional staff. The bar area seemed chaotic and noisy, with slow service and a lack of product knowledge regarding tequilas. Despite the mixed reviews, the food was generally commended for being delicious and the portions were generous. The cozy and historic atmosphere, along with the attentive service provided by some staff members, was highlighted as a positive aspect of the dining experience. Overall, opinions were divided on the quality of service and overall dining experience at the restaurant.
Jimmy is a delightful server he always made sure we had everything we needed and served us with a kind and friendly smile. This was the first time we've gone here and I had expected the place to be more of an open area with a mountain view, but it was rather closed and contained. There aren't many coat hangers either, so we had to hang ours close to another group's table, which was rather awkward. It's not a big deal, but I hope this would be given attention. Lastly, I had the steak and lobster with garlic mash for the side and cosmopolitan for the drink. Everything was great, except I was quite disappointed with the doneness of my steak. I asked for medium rare, but I was given a medium instead and it was more chewy than I prefer. I decided not to complain or ask for a new one as I was already famished after hiking and walking downtown. Coming here was still a great experience overall.
This classic Canadian steakhouse is located across street from McDonald?s . The Filet Mignonette steak was very tender and the lobster tail was delicious and tender as well.
I am so happy to know The Keg is with the ?times?. I was able to order a Fathers Day dinner through their website and have my father and mother pick it up at almost the exact time for pick up which was 7:45. I ordered for them 2 Iceberg Wedge salads with blue cheese dressing and 2 Rib Steaks (bone out and medium well). My parents said the food was good and they really enjoyed the Iceberg Wedge salads. Price: It?s a more premium restaurant so the prices are what to be expected. Portion/Palate: The Portions are great and it all taste really good. Place: Hard to find parking but it?s a small town so it?s easy to walk from any parking lot. Also the place looked clean inside. People: Super friendly and very hospitable. The manager came out with the order at 7:46pm and the order to be picked up was 7:45pm. So well done!
It seems that if you want your (costly) breakfast hot, you gotta get in there very early. We were there a bit after 9am and the food in the warmers was barely luke-warm. The warmers are supposed to be kept on and functioning for the entirety of the breakfast period. We spoke to the server about this and she managed to get a 40% discount for our cold breakfast. This review would've been 4 stars or better if it was a proper hot breakfast, because everything else about the place was about as good as you could want it.
Really good food, you will pay a pretty expensive price. But the service was great. The restaurant was very clean. My steak was on point, perfectly cooked. The Billy miners pie was on point as per usual. Would recommend this restaurant.
