When we left about 45 minutes late... read more We tried the Station Restaurant on a recent Wednesday morning. We arrived around 8:30 and were able to be seated immediately. When we left about 45 minutes later, there was a line of people waiting. Our waitress mentioned it is often busy, so get there early. What I liked about the Station? The ambiance! Total diner vibe with a Train Station theme. There are lots of signs and artwork to remind you of a train depot. They have a soda fountain counter like you would see in an old drugstore or diner. Their chocolate milk was excellent. The prices seemed reasonable compared to other restaurants post COVID. I also loved the service. We were sat promptly. A server brought us out waters and took our beverage orders. A waitress came by right after that. She checked in on us multiple times. We could see she was busy but she always took the time to check in on us. What could have been improved? The food. I had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fine, but honestly, that gravy was not good. Grainy, not sure what the flavor was, but I would not call it sausage flavor. I was really disappointed by these. We also had the sausage and eggs. It was fine, but we usually clean our plates and this time it was, 'eh, I 'm good '. You 'll definitely want to add some salt and pepper. If they can get the food quality up to match the ambiance and the service, then this place could be great.
