Lutan is a mid-level veg Chinese restaurant outside of the main drag with a very cozy visual and sound aesthetic. The menu features more herbal, mushroom, and non-processed proteins. This means less bold flavor and more pleasant subtle ones. I ordered the fixed special that came with herbal soy and fungus soup, some sides of veggies, tea, and a bowl of rice. What Charly0993 doesn't like about Lutan 21:
My feelings about this location are a bit mixed. To me the food was quite bland and boring but if I were to visit the town again, I’d give it another shot with one of their noodle dishes. Staff was friendly but for now, definitely not a must try in my opinion. View all feedback.
Emphasised on warm and hearty meal. Order their herbal or soupy options. Delicious.
Having eaten in some of the other vegetarian restaurants nearby, we were expecting at least a solid dining experience but unfortunately, it was a little short of that. The actual inside of the restaurant was pleasant enough. However, there was an issue in that there was a cockroach on the floor next to the food preparation area and even though it was acknowledged by a member of staff, upon returning from the bathroom, I saw that it was not removed and the member of staff was no longer to be found. The menu itself was pretty basic with not that many items. One of the meals we ordered was quite pleasant but the Nasi Lemak lacked any sort of flavour and the soup broth that came with the noodle dish was also quite bland. On the whole, the meal was disappointing, taste-wise, and ordering carefully is definitely important. We also had another issue in that despite eating with small children, we were provided with ceramic spoons for them to eat their soup with. Unfortunately, one of these was dropped during the meal and we were charged for it. This would've been easier to stomach had we really enjoyed our meal but we hadn't. We also managed to receive a parking ticket when parking in the restaurant's parking spots. This is obviously not the fault of the restaurant itself but something that diners should be careful of. Overall, it was an average Chinese vegetarian restaurant that was just more memorable for a few things that went wrong when we visited.
Tested like Franchise Bio-Shop, does not seem much individuality, but the environment is excellent and staff is friendly
Lutan is a Chinese restaurant on the middle level outside the main train with a very cozy visual and sound aesthetic. The menu contains more vegetable, mushrooms and unprocessed proteins. This means less bold taste and more pleasantly subtle. I ordered the solid special that came with vegetable soya and mushroom soup, some pages of vegetables, tea and a bowl of rice. I also enjoyed an acidic plum juice and the warm, creamy red beans dessert.
I had the hot Brown Rice chocolate, popiah and flat soup. all were very tasty! The place is a bit pricey but feels like fine dining! (similar to veggie planet, but different menu)
